mirror, mirror on ...my face?

mirror, mirror.

have you noticed more reflections floating around town as the weather warms and the sun shines brighter? we have. we're not talking about reflections in store windows or sidewalk puddles, but rather the reflections seen in mirrored lenses. more and more people are catching onto this tropical trend.

these lenses can be multi-colored, a solid neon or the more classic silver reflection. MYKITA would have to be the line we credit for first diving into this statement - it has since made its way over to other frame lines and now even Ray Ban has mirrored their ever popular Wayfarers. you can go all out and channel Florida by pairing your lenses with bright colors and mixed prints, make an entrance at your next pool party and pair it with a chic bathing suit, or keep it clean by paring these fab frames with a simple black/neutral outfit suited more for city life. whatever your lifestyle is, we say get a pair!

MYKITA aka trend starter
are you brave enough to wear these?

a visit from Dario.

we had a visit from Dario (Iveta's son) - he is such a cutie and was willing to try on a few pairs of our kids frames and sunglasses. at the moment we have kid's lines from RayBan, Nike, and Silhouette. for the "tweens" or those who have more petite shaped faces, we have the RayBan, Alexander Daas, Kala Eyewear, Nike and even Bevel.

before you stop in to try these frames for yourself or for your "little person" - take a look at this little guy:

a Visit & Training with ROLF Wood Frames:

Our team at SIGHT recently sat down with the owners, and brothers, of ROLF Wood Spectacles. These handmade, 100% all wood (even the hinge and screw) frames are both designed and manufactured in Austria.

Roland, Bernard & Chris are the 3 brothers who head up this growing eyewear line, along with designer Marija. The line is full of great passion and quality. They have won multiple Silmo d'Or awards for technological innovation in eyewear (among other categories) and the company prides itself on intense research and the highest quality - this proved very evident once we sat down and learned exactly how to handle, mold and even mend this beautiful product.

The collection includes frames made from lightweight wood, bamboo and woodstone materials. We took a few pictures of our time together - we even broke a few frames //gasp!

we gather to watch as Roland demonstrates.
great explanations from this passionate designer.
teaching us how to manipulate and mold frames.
